OUR MANDATE
As a company, we render the following services;
a) Collection and disposal of solid waste (garbage);
b) Collection, treatment, and disposal of waste oil/sludge/slop/bilge water/ oily wastewater;
c) Collection and transportation of waste oil;
d) Cleaning of oil tanks;
e) Sludge removal and pit cleaning;
f) Oily wastewater recycling; and
g) Environmental consultancy.


FACILITIES
In order to effectively deliver on our mandate as a company with key considerations to our regulatory obligations, AWEL has actualized the following undermentioned facilities and logistics to carry out its services. These include;

a) Five (5) above ground oil metal tanks each of capacity of 54,000 liters connected together via flanges, valves, and pressure hoses;
b) 13,500 liter underground oily wastewater sump specially designed to hold extracted or rejected oily wastewater with the specification of 15ppm oil residue as per our Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Permit Schedule Conditions;
c) Administration offices for office work and bookkeeping purposes;
d) Adequate Articulator tanker trucks for hauling waste oil, sludge, slop and bilge water;
e) Adequate Trucks for garbage collection;
f) Skips for garbage collection;
g) A yet to be established laboratory for effluent testing analysis;
h) Adequate Fire extinguishers to fight fires caused by combustible chemicals or materials; and
i) Operational vehicle used by operational staff.

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPLIANCE


A.Wahabii Environmental Limited believes that the successful running of its operations rest on good housekeeping practices as well as key Environment, Health and Safety Trainings of its workforce. In line with this, the company regularly organize specific trainings, undertake site inspection and eliminate, substitute or mitigate any identifiable hazard or risk suspected to pose harm to an employee. This we do by constantly upgrading or training curriculum, liaising and reporting to the Environmental Protection Agency for regulatory purposes.

Pursuant to our core goal of Prevention of Environmental Pollution, AWEL continues to reflect its potential in meeting the ever-increasing waste management demand related to population growth and industrial activities in Ghana.
